IT Technician – Automotive & Showrooms
Role Summary:The IT Technician provides 1st and 2nd line technical support, ensuring high availability of IT systems across headquarters and multiple showrooms. This role involves proactive maintenance, user onboarding, and troubleshooting hardware and software to ensure minimal downtime for sales and service departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Showroom & Office Support: Act as the primary point of contact for IT issues for sales staff, service advisors, and administrative personnel.
Hardware/Software Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, showroom screens, CCTV, Fingerprint and peripherals (printers, scanners).
Automotive Tech Support: Assist with the setup and troubleshooting of dealer diagnostic machines and Wi-Fi connectivity in workshop areas.
Ticketing & Documentation: Log all support requests in the ticketing system and maintain accurate inventory records.
Network Maintenance: Monitor local showroom networks, switches, and routers, ensuring secure connectivity.
Other necessary tasks assigned by the IT Manager.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in IT support (preferably in retail or automotive).
Excellent troubleshooting skills with Windows 10/11.
Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating patience with non-technical users.
Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus.
